Will my Health Insurance cover Healthtouch services?

The majority of our clients with PPO coverage are reimbursed for our therapy services.  We are considered "Out of Network" therapy services by most PPO insurance plans.  Most PPO plans will reimburse for skilled therapy services provided by a state licensed therapist.  Payment is due at time of service and we do not bill insurance companies.  We are happy to provide you with a statement that you can submit to your insurance company.  Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Why hasn't my Doctor recommended Myofascial Release?

Although more physicians are becoming aware of the powerful effectiveness of Myofascial Release, there are many doctors who will just prescribe pills for pain and inflammation and write a prescription for physical therapy believing that all therapy is the same.  Standard physical therapy where individuals are treated to "assembly line" therapy is ineffective and patients often fail to improve.  At HEALTHTOUCH you will receive the continuous presence and treatment by highly trained therapists and you can expect to improve.  Also, many physicians are financially penalized for referring patients to therapists out of their HMO Network.  This penalizes you, the consumer.  At HEALTHTOUCH we provide individualized therapy that works.

How can I make the most of my session?

Before arriving, take the time to get in touch with the problems you are experiencing and ask yourself when did this start, what relieves your problem, what makes it worse?  What is it that you want help with?  You will be working with your therapists to move freely without pain or stiffness.  It is important that you wear no skin lotion or shower gel as this will interfere with the effectiveness of your treatment.  It is best to arrive about five minutes prior to your session time.
